CTO Enterprises Supports S.O.A.R. Benefit
A local company that supports a local cause and believes in giving back. CTO Enterprises is a local Mokena, IL business, and has been a proud sponsor and partner to S.O.A.R., supporting them in a variety of ways. Trevor Olsen, owner of CTO Enterprises, has known Brian Swift for about 10 years. They have children that are the same age and met through them. They coached their kids’ basketball team together.
Local Mokena, IL resident, Brian Swift, started S.O.A.R., a non-profit organization benefiting people with spinal cord injuries. S.O.A.R. stands for Swift Outdoor Accessible Recreation. The goal is to make outdoor recreation and equipment more accessible to those in wheelchairs, such as fishing, hiking and cycling.
Brian Swift started S.O.A.R. 3 years ago. He’s been in a wheelchair since he was 17 when he broke his neck and was paralyzed from the chest down. He didn’t let the chair stop him from leading an active and full life. Starting S.O.A.R. is his way of inspiring people with similar circumstances to stay active.
Support your local community
This year’s benefit was held at CD&Me in Frankfort, IL. It was very successful and raised more than $10,000 between raffle tickets and ticket sales. S.O.A.R.’s long term goal is to buy property and make it 100% wheelchair accessible with cabins, trails and a fishing pond.
Psalm 13 3:1 (NIV)
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
Supporting your local communities and causes make a town come together and thrive. I believe you can draw more businesses to settle knowing they can take an active part in the town culture.
